Spring, A Time To Refresh & Renew

Updated on October 23, 2017

Terrie is a mother and her love of writing poetry, music, and quotes have led her back, to explore more of her creative side.

April showers bring May flowers.

Winter snow is gone.

It's time to move on.

Buds poke through, and branches come alive.

A color dance begins, plants start to thrive.

The cool misty rain, lets plants begin again.

Moistures in the air, breathe and take it in.

Let the earth's renewal begin.

A shrub you thought was dead, breaths life again.

Children come out to play, running here and there.

Rubber boots they wear, for mud, is everywhere.

Just like the trees, plants, and flowers.

Spring, reminds me of gods powers.

When the earth, wakes from its slumber.

Spring then becomes summer.

Just like earth, we awaken inside.

Our life is, renewed, refreshed and revived.

Thank God, that I am alive.

Spring Renewel

Spring time refresh and renew.

Robins play in the yard.

Earthworms in their view.

The wounded, wear scars..

Pecking away at the dirt.

Pulling a worm from the earth.

Amazed at its unusual girth.

Babies nearby are new.

The worm will feed the crew.

Grow strong little birds.

I can't feed you my words.

Soon you'll spread your wings.

Then nature does its thing.

And your babies will sing.

When spring renews again.

It will bring you a new friend.

So feed them while you can.

Then spring becomes summer.

Hi three keys, what a wonderful idea. I'll start with taking photos as we plant new trees and garden plants and more as they grow. I'll get right on it when I am done with my cookbook. Thank you and have a wonderful day.

Oh yes potato too and sometimes corn if we start it early enough. I am going to start a question on gardening then I'll post some of my last years pictures of my plants. I garden without any chemicals. I use household recipes, essential oils and vinegar. Some bugs are good, I plant things to attract them. Garden area is about 40 x 40' then I have berry bushes in other areas.

Your garden sounds amazing. How big is it? What do you use to keep the bugs away? I grow a very small garden. Just a few tomato plants and a couple of blueberry bushes. I grow wild flowers and hosta around the yard with a few perrenials. Have you ever grown potatoes? They sound like fun. Have a great afternoon.

Thank you Dream on. We grow, berries of different kinds. Apple trees. Flowers and shrubs. Peas, carrots, tomato, onions, peppers, rubarb, lettuce and cucumber. We are adding more this year our garden will be almost double in size. Have a good day. Yes my husband wanted to, but they would have to be inside and the smell is horrendous, I said no.

I enjoyed your poem very much. Spring is wonderful. What plants do you grow on your farm. Have you ever heard of someone growing earth worms? I think that would be fun too.

Thank you threekeys. Yes I plant every year. Flowers, berry bushes and a vegetable garden and a green house. We made our garden bigger and added rhubarb. I live on a farm and want to open a fresh food market on our property. Thank you for stopping and commenting.

"A colour dance begins"...lovely feeling of birth and rebirth. I hope Spring is a joy for you. I know Spring is my most favourite month followed by Autumn as my second most favourite time of year. Are you going to be planting new flowers in your garden?
