Standing in the Shade

Updated on November 8, 2015

The Bountiful Oak Tree

Count your blessings

Rather what you lost

A spiritual redemption

Compassion, humane

Think of the cross

Oak trees are mighty

Wrap you with their leaves

Shelter with shade

Comfort and believe

Thanksgiving be grateful

Leaves there to share

Not what you lost

May you give and care

Flowing leaves on the mighty oak

Shares sun with shade

Bright light will shine through

If that's not enough

Look

Others have plenty less than you

Turkey Trot ,Gobble Fest

Leaves on oak with shade

Gifts to please

With welcome yes

Meal heart warming

Together we will pray
