Stony haiku - Scenic perfection
Scenic perfection - a stony haiku
Watching the rock face, a stony immobile presence, casting it shadows on the waters rippling and moving to the other shore, my brain was fascinated and senses teased. It seems nature often pairs the impossible together. The rock that is slowly disintegrating into the moving water, as the water gently laps around it, in probably a million years. The tender green shrubs and grass around them seem to be the perfect foil to make this unsightly stone a perfect composition for the ready canvas. A picture from my camera became the theme for my internet haiku canvas today. Someday it will surely find its way on to a canvas that I plan to paint on... scenic perfection.
Perfection in stone
Stony heart so cold,
Stands still, proud and distant,
Coarse sharp edges.
Shaky reflections,
Ripples spreading so wide,
Faithless images.
Weathered by storms,
Toughened and dead inside,
Fossilised remains.
Tender grass stands tall,
Softening the landscape,
United naturally.
Pretty picture,
Quietly juxtaposed,
Fair composition!
Peace and calm,
By serene beauty drawn,
I stand amazed!
