Review
As I wrote at the top of this page "I was sent a free copy of Stop the Diet, I Want to Get Off! by Lisa Tillinger Johansen in exchange for only my honest and unbiased review of Stop the Diet, I Want to Get Off! by Lisa Tillinger Johansen."
Stop the Diet, I Want to Get Off! by Lisa Tillinger Johansen has an introduction, 15 chapters, and an appendix. Stop the Diet, I Want to Get Off! by Lisa Tillinger Johansen begins with part one "The Skinny" this part opens with the introduction. The introduction focuses on Lisa Tillinger Johansen motivation for writing this book along with when she made her decision to become a author.
Chapter one begins with the author talking about herself as if she was fat along with the mental state to go along with it. This helps the reader to fell like the author really understands what it means to be overweight. The book then goes on to quote some statistics like that 26% of people in the the United States follow their diet for less than a month.
Stop the Diet, I Want to Get Off! by Lisa Tillinger Johansen continue on to provide the reader with helpful statistics and useful facts. At one point Stop the Diet, I Want to Get Off! by Lisa Tillinger Johansen provides a table that shows the correct serving size of food and the amount that people normally eat in one serving. For instance two slice of a 16 inch pizza are a serving, but most people eat four slices as a serving.
Stop the Diet, I Want to Get Off! by Lisa Tillinger Johansen has a nice tone to it. At no point is the author or the book judgmental the point of the book is to provide help not make the reader feel bad and the book delivers on this fully. I liked how Stop the Diet, I Want to Get Off! by Lisa Tillinger Johansen talked about different common and well know diets. The Stop the Diet, I Want to Get Off! by Lisa Tillinger Johansen really explained the good and bad points of each nicely.
I personally really liked the tip about pouring your cereal into your bowl like normal and then measuring the cereal in a measuring cup to see if you are giving yourself the correct amount for a serving or not.
Overall while I myself am not currently trying to lose weight, instead I am just trying to maintain my current weight, I still found this book to be a good read and helpful. Stop the Diet, I Want to Get Off! by Lisa Tillinger Johansen truly provides good advice and tips without making the reader feel fat or bad. I would recommend Stop the Diet, I Want to Get Off! by Lisa Tillinger Johansen to anyone looking to lose weight or maintain their current weight.
