Striving for The Sun
Striving for The Sun
Turning over the page of death to a new leash
Taking tiny strides in incredulity and less wish
Fearing another slippery slope yet contemplating
Looking over the wall with eyes more sparkling
Doing away with the mystic sinuous roadways
Pounding straight onslaught with meditated gaze
Riding stalwartly on smoother ripples that glaze
Glancing over the shoulders for menacing blaze
Seeking a better horizon albeit the long ways
Planning excruciatingly the innumerable plays
I have set forth, with a broken inside, to run
I look forward to the sunset and the rising sun
