Surprise Birthday

There's a lady whom we have accepted as our mother

She's so special and God brought her into our life

We got to know her after the death of my father

She's always with a smile and she's an encouraging wife.

Each day she lives with God's grace as she's battling with cancer

Somehow she managed to stay until her 50th birthday

Jesus Christ is her best hope and her anchor

I pray God to keep her safe and out of pain every day.

She once had a beautiful long hair but now with a different style

I used to put hairstyles and make her smile

Raising children in Godly manner is what she finds worthwhile

She's now a blessed grandmother from almost from her every child.

Her husband is a pastor and an evangelist in our church

Who lives by his principles and the side business

He's a spiritual father always on the run for the lost he search

He make sure to take care and help the full time workers.

Last evening I enjoyed being at her surprise birthday dinner

Her four children with their spouses and the children

The Chef Pastor from Bandarawela joined our dinner

My playmates though I'm an aunt, they think of me as their sister.

It was the same place where my cousin brother had his homecoming

The food was nice and the view was great at the beach

It was all planned by this lady's husband to celebrate this magical evening

To remember the moment I managed to take some pictures at the beach :)
