There is a place

Deep within

Where innocence

And sweetness

Come to play

Beautiful things

Grow here

Take place here

My wish

Is for you to find this

In your loved ones

In yourself

Here you never feel alone

A field of daisies

In summertime

While the sun beats down

On your bare skin

The cool chill

Of your first step in

Pool water

On a hot day

When you know

You're alive

Knowing you were

Meant to be

Born to survive

To play another day

You will find sweet innocence

In someone's eyes

Deep down

It never hides

You will be drawn in

Being held there

Seeing heaven

For the first time

      C21,

no offense but take it from someone who has seen heavenyou cant see it in anyones eyes-nor ears if you should write a sequel.... at least when I saw it it kinda looks like a golf coarse early in the morning before the dew and fog has lifted before they have put the flags in the holes. then again maybe-Im taking those last couple of lines a little too literal....

      TH

But it was a nice Poem

Caroline - Have you considered publishing a book of poetry? If you haven't, I suggest you look into it. You have the ability to capture what many of us feel but can't put into the romantic words you pen.

Very beautiful poetry, Caroline. I see that innocense in the eyes of children, and in the babies of animals, and in sunrises, and in the dew of a morning in May. There are so many places to see innocense.

We they say great minds thinks alike .

Great thought turned into poetry and bought to life , you had me thinking for awhile, I took a rapid dream, went to my homeland experience what a day again felt like and yes Caroline we experienced this everyday growing up.

Always hot we grew accustomed , the rain was a blessing , and the sea was always ever so present and the salt water made everything Kosher.

It was our shower before school each morning and getting home again was super exercise and the heart stayed intact, and people in relationships stayed together forever.

I feel some of the things you sometimes mention but I made this decision and there are no regrets.

To me , this is a beautiful poem great memories.

      Bless.
