I JUST WANT TO BE WELL AGAIN...

Ah the Flu, the dreaded Flu has taken on a "Life" of it's own. My body is a DANGER ZONE! I look a SIGHT, a Frightful SIGHT. This can't be ME...this Crazed Woman I see, with Blotchy skin and Puffy Eyes...Next year for sure, I'll get the FLU shot...I promise. But for now, I just want to be well again!

So, here I am almost two weeks later, and starting to "Improve". The cough, and symptoms a little less, but the FACE still NOT my face! Anyone want to make a trade? I just finished reading an article on line entitled, "How to look your Best while having the Flu". What DRUGS was this woman on when she wrote it? For example, "One should put on "Makeup" to add a little Glow". Between the Hot/Cold sweat that appears alternately on my face, I doubt it would be Flattering. Also, "Try a "New Hairdo". You mean on the hair that is now GLUED to my head in a disturbing manner? I bet I'd be a hit at any "Fright Night" party! Now I don't mean to sound ungrateful, for I'm sure the writer of this article meant well...Like saying, "One should also put on her prettiest Nightgown"...so the t-shirt and sweat pants I'm wearing are all wrong for the Flu? Who knew?

When I first started getting "Flu-like" symptoms, and not having a Doctor here in Florida land, I went to a place called, "Urgent Care". You know I was feeling Lousy, for a went with NO MAKEUP, and God knows what kind of an outfit on my body. The Doctor turned out to be a HANDSOME YOUNG man with a great personality. And I said to him..."Really I don't look like THIS...THIS isn't ME...So could you make me look like ME again...Healthy and all? He smiled, he seemed to understand, as he handed me a Script for "Tamiflu", and bid me "adieu", and added, Good Luck too.

So, I took the "Tamiflu", and it helped to ease some of the symptoms...But it certainly isn't the Cure all...and really it's not supposed to be. No, one must do a certain amount of SUFFERING first to remind thy self, that come next year...Get a FLU SHOT! What? You thought I had gained some insight or new words of Wisdom? Well if I have, they are, I just want to be WELL again!
