THIS FEBRUARY HAS BEEN FLURRY FREE
Resting with idle time~
Sits the white stone angel~
Other than wings she is curled and bare~
Ringlets in her tussled hair.
Days grow a wee bit longer~
The bob cat seen prowling in the yard~
Possible he has his eyes on the bird feeder~
I have not spied though a bird marred.
Situated with a dream of mine~
I see the moss lays green~
Untouched by snow~
This years February is flurry free~
Snowfalls are nil to low~
As grass is brownish sleeping serene.
Tranquil the woods appear~
Calm I am stilled watching for~
The presence of some deer~
So peaceful this location~
One would not believe~
At times my plate feels blank~
Empty as I am in fear.
Positioned in a lonely space~
I pray to GOD on high~
As I relish the nature he hath made~
I watch the coupled morning doves coo and fly.
What is that my eyes have a fixed? ~
True it is a rabbit~
Running to hide from me and you~
Quickly ducking under a full spindly bush~
One suspects often his secret habitual covert nook.
Living in a cold dark place~
Sometimes I wonder? ~
Is there more to life I might be missing? ~
Or is this the richest of living?
How blessed that February~
Has been flurry free~
Hath Mother Nature been sleeping? ~
Yet preserving certain effects lying dormant~
As some of us creatures are active and flourishing.
Here displayed a fanfare~
Of thriving life~
I do well to be thankful~
As the beauty surrounds me~
I am still prosperous with my minor trifles that flee~
For In CHRIST I am left un-blameful my spirit now soars free!
This February has been flurry free~
Not a tree had bowed~
Now I shall be grateful~
For my day going on renewed~
With GOD’s good grace~
This nature HE allows us to embrace~
All is owed and soon to be blooming a-new~
At the LORDS all knowing pace.
