Ti Takaya Krasivaya

Updated on September 13, 2015

At times I wonder how it could be,
that a beauty like you would speak to me.

Your gaze causes time to stop and lay still’
your touch can ignite passion, and chase
away the chill.

Your voice is like fine crystal, all beautiful and clear.
when I hear you speak, it makes me wish you were near.

Your lips are intoxicating, like a dark sweet wine.
Your figure is striking, your touch is divine.

You walk through the world and cause others to stare.
They know you are special, they know that you’re rare.

I stand amongst the crowd, just hoping for chance,
to see your smiling face, to just catch a glance.

From just one look such happiness it would give,
then I could fall back into the shadows and say
that I surely did live.

In my world of darkness, you have brought so much light.
You have eased my pain, and chased away the night.

Until the day comes when I am worthy to see your face,
when I can feel your touch, when I can receive your embrace.

Then I will know that my dream was no lie,
And that I can experience heaven without
having to die.

It's a beautiful poem, Augustine. I liked that you read it, it makes a difference, it really does.

Your poem made me think of this song "You are my Only One" - there is an English translation which I think distorts the original lyrics, but right at about 80%.

    Here is the song:

and the lyrics both in English and Russian:

Having a crush on someone, hoping that they will one day take notice of us, is sheer agony. We don't have to suffer this; we can kill a crush with the mere knowledge that we don't deserve the pain.

    Touching poem, Augustine!

The voice recording, however, is too fast. The emotion I read in the poem is absent in your voice. I hope you will consider a re-recording?

What is Ti Takaya Krasivaya in English?

Gypsy Rose, thank you. Sometimes the ending is the hard part. Once it materializes, you must take it. Thanks again for the comment and visit.

Thank you for the comment and links Svetlana. I always enjoy your cultural offerings as it expands my horizons. You told me once that Russians were born travelers, and that they seem to be all over the world. I am fortunate to have met my first that started my journey into writing. You're the second one to challenge and foster my intellect and interest in culture. Thank you again for the visit.

Hello Nikki. Yes, I started writing after meeting this woman. Must have written a dozen poems just because of her. No longer see her, but the legacy created has helped me delve deeper into writing. Thank you for the comment and visit.

Hello my dear Martie. Yes, it can be sheer agony. But rewarding at the same time. Yes, this is one of my first recordings, and I wanted to redo the ones that needed it. It is difficult to record and capture the moment completely, but worth the effort. I'll let you know once it is done. Thanks!

Don't kill me for stupid ideas - Russians, the weird people that we are - are full of them and themselves

I have just thought - (you can blame it on my migraine, too) - what if you let someone else read/record your poem for you? Nor for the hub (maybe for the hub as well).

It was an eye-opener for me. Again, don't shoot me.

That is a beautiful clip - ochen krasiviy, no doubt about it - no translation necessary.

That would be an awesome idea Svetlana. Anyone who wishes to record the recital could let me know and I could post it as a link here. Love the clip, the HD images are awesome! Keep the ideas coming.

'Beautiful' .... 'Hello, Beautiful!' ... 'You're so beautiful' are phrases that fall in the same category as 'I love you!'

I once had a fling who called me 'Beautiful'. I still remember him with a smile, and also with sadness, a we never got the opportunity to develop our relationship.

Poems like these arouse memories :)
