For National Poetry Month 2012 #5

Tears fall,

overflowing cups.

Without specific reason,

each day they travel

their specified path,

signposts

to a deeper reality--

unmapped,

uncharted.

Are there enough poems in me

To traverse this terrain of the heart?

Your poem really made me stop and read over and over. Beautiful and made me silent (rare). Poignant. Voted up and needed to share!

Audrey, I have to read your poems several times to just about 'get it'. That's what makes them so interesting, because they are thought-provoking. Take care :-)

Yes, To answer your question, you have enough poems to fill an albumn and then some more. Loved it....

As long as a Poets heart beats there will be verse for it to pump forth. My poetic friend, keep writing, keep living, never give up for there is light I am told. Our souls may weep, our shadows may sweep into our presence, but we must cast them aside and continue on.

I struggle, yet I move forward why? because I have the support and inspiration from fellow scribes like yourself. Hugs to you my friend.

the terrain of the heart goes on and on for miles. as do the many tears that fall. they can fill oceans. Oceans are the tears of angels..fallen from the Heavens. Perhaps our tears join them. Beauiful poem. I believe you can write as many poems as there are tears. :)

This beautifully poignant poem says so much Audrey. No matter how much we cry, we go on knowing there will be many more tears to shed.

That is the crux of it I think--the heart can either be shut, or open and alive--and if alive, there will be many tears--Thank you Rosemary!
