The Act Of Cleaning Is Therapeutic
Unnoticed And Forgotten
To get down and dirty
Scrubbing away those pots and pans to bring back that old shine
Sweeping the floor finding the dust bunnies that are hidden
Washing the windows so we can see for miles
Letting in enormous amounts of light
Organizing a draw that was once messy
Folding clothes that were scattered
Washing the dishes and putting them away in their prospective places
Making sure the kitchen table is neat and pristine
Feeling good even though are muscles ache and we are now physically tired
Looking at the stove and giving it another wipe
Another peek in the refridgerator to make sure everything is in order
Throwing out anything old or cleaning any spills that have been made
Now heading for the showers
Like playing baseball in the big leagues after a winning game
The satisfaction of a job well done
