The Adventures/Misadventures of Kirby – Marsha’s Cat

Christmas 2015 and I, Kirby

Can be seen sniffing and sipping, you know what I mean?

The drinks all went down so easy

And now I’m feeling real queasy

If it is where I can, I will drink it,

even if it tastes like mud

Guess Marsha didn’t know

When she adopted me

Drinking is in my blood

It was the day after Christmas it had been a long night

I was wound-up real tight and ready for flight

Aiming for the fan with all of my might

I hit Marsha and my feline female friend

That's when I knew I didn’t aim right

My drinking days have been Cat-nipped in the bud

Now I am restricted to water or milk with my spud

Next time I get high, I will not try to fly

I will just give Marsha a purr with a sigh

Marsha visited the pet store

and from a nearby cage

there came a might uproar

Marsha could not get past his door

Mannix had wormed his way into her heart

This gave Marsha quite a start

Marsha's heart strings were finely tuned

As take me home with you Mannix crooned

Marsha called her hubby

To give her strength to resist

But, to be added to their family

Mannix did insist

Marsha and her hubby took him home

Now Mannix will no longer be alone

And in the glow of the hearth

His brother and his sister share his heart
