April-National Poetry Month - Poem 3

Updated on April 21, 2012

Poem Three

I’m feeling free

Flying high on a raggedy kite string

Tugging me to poetic heights

An impossibe possibility

*

Praying for a wisp of wind

To lift me

To new levels

Not seen before

*

Maybe I'll see Lillyfly

Mckbird, drbj

Soaring

Coax me gently with a tug

Higher

Exhiliration is mounting

27 and counting

Hi Ann, I think you should do whatever makes the most sense to you. I have been using just a regular title and then in my tags adding National Poetry Month 2012. That way, it is easier to search

I would never bring you down drbj. I will keep my distance and observe your greatness from afar.

I feel your support, Ms cheerleader. Bet you were one in school. It's fitting since this is about a kite...you voted up and away. You witty one. Thank you

mckbird...I'm proud. You speak nice words to me. Thank you. Be sure to wear a helmet if you are brave enough to get out the skateboard, and forget the tricks.

Thank you for the votes AD

Thanks for the follow cleaner. I'm afraid I have been neglectful of other people's writings lately. Sorry.

      Appreciate your comment. Ann

Kites are fun. I still do it too. When the grandkids are over. I'm not sure I know about Mike. Would like to be filled in. Love, Ann

Audrey, would you like me to enter these poems with another title...Or do you not mind me using your name? Tell me.

Just don't get too close, Ann, don't want our kite strings to tangle and send us crashing to earth. Sweet poetry and thanks for the mention, m'dear.

anndavis25 what a nice piece of poetry. Thanks for the mention. I think I'll get a skateboard to get up to speed, to make this kite fly. In the mean time your Soar. Vote Up and across.
