The Battle for Survival

Updated on July 25, 2016

The battle ground is within

Not without

A faith in knowing

Believing in hope, not doubt

Gratitude is an attitude

To be guided

Listen to your heart

Not your head

Said the good lord

Sittlng on the waters edge

We find

The only people that mind

Are the critques that dine

In the palisades of our mind

The battle exists

In your head

Said the little frog named, Fred

Who am I to judge

My words are my gift

A way to communicate

To navagate

Not be harsh or hold a grudge

Everything you need

Will be provided by

The good Lord indeed

God has a watch of his own

When the battle has begun

Clock your time on a loan

Time is of essence

The battle field is not what God owns

As he died on the cross

Not in our minds, but who we are in our soul.

To be guided we do indeed need to listen to our heart and the Holy Spirit who is our guide and speaks to our hearts. A thoughtful and thought-provoking poem.
