Poem on bitter sweet nature of life
The Bitter-Sweet Truth
The Bitter-Sweet Truth
It was like an ocean breeze in the middle of a desert
An oasis-turned-picnic spot
The first drop of rain on a drought land
The earliest ray of the summer sun in the long frozen Arctic
Moments harboured and embedded within till eternity
Nevertheless
The ocean breeze is a routine in Blackpool
Pool-side party is a custom for the westerners
Rain is a usual phenomenon in Manchester
Sunlight, a blatant concept for the southerners
But,
For the heat-struck Camel rider in the Sahara
a slight chill breeze is a sea of hope for his evaporated stamina
An oasis for the thirsty is a life saver
Rain in drought, an entire race rescued from a dry out
The first ray of sun in the Arctic brings with it new life, hope and warmth
So fear not my feeble heart;
Indeed nothing lasts forever!
Dark times end like the Arctic winters;
The much esteemed summer sun penetrates through the minutest of the openings, illuminates the confined darkness with vast radiance and dynamism
Also,
Maritimes come and go like a breeze in a desert,
Leaving behind a trail of memories, nostalgia and wishful thinking
For a second, my fickle heart, you thought the breeze would last forever? Too lost in the pleasures of time to perceive the momentary nature of events!
Nonetheless
Deviation is in your nature for you are nothing but a hungry human
Eager for the forbidden But perhaps what is a rare fruit for you, ripens all year round for another
So envy not, the course of nature, for you are blessed
The secret to escaping the proceeding nostalgic time-lapse lays within your own will So, the quicker the descend to reality, the better
So fear not my feeble heart
For every time-lapse prepares you for a new era
It diminishes all the previous doings and digs a hole in your heart for new foundations
So fear not my feeble heart
Surrender to HIM
Allow the time-lapse to dig a hole with ease
For changes are inevitable
Resistance merely causes delays, exhaustion and wastage
So set yourself, for the time is about to come
