The Broken Road

Updated on December 22, 2010

The Broken Road

All is forgotten,

the words do not speak,

fresh dies, it becomes rotten,

Heart falls weak,

Start becomes an end,

a minute too long,

Her happy face is pretend,

lifeless, what was once strong,

She falls deeply in love ,

Moves on, at times with a shudder,

That she knows not of.

Reminded day by day,

Of the one that once held her heart

Yet she seems okay,

Slowly has she mended what was torn apart.

Too broken to go back,

Too many hearts would break,

that is something she does lack,

The courage to take...

The Road to go back there..

My dear it hurts to say ... I still care.
