The Desert's Pulse Vol.1

Freedom amongst the rock and sand

The hiss

Of a diamondback

The rattle of his cousins

The bite of a predator

The blood of its pray

Feast before famine

The dry mouths cry out to me

restless and thirsty

Screaming

For someone

To stop and see

Awake before detained

I become awake
By the absence of light
If ever i feel alive
It's only by the light
Inside my mind

When sheltered inside
You'll never realize
Your mediocre sight
Is all that you will ever see

Only I
Can tare the ground
From beneath me

Every day
The mornings steal back
From me
The things the nights give
To set me free

The time to live is now

The uncertainty

In the adventure

The breathless moments

Dancing around the flames

No need to breathe

Dropping to the ground

To touch the earth

Lift off

Throwing yourself into a spin

Scenes shift

Feeling yourself

Cradled in the hands of the universe

Awakening

With a pen to the page

Poetry

By the light

Of a cigarette's ember

A little fire!
