The Element of Water

Updated on June 8, 2015

Water, the life giver, the mother

of us all. No living thing can survive

without it. The most primal

element in the cosmos.

We begin in water, but end in earth

or fire. Most of the body is water.

We are its sons and daughters.

As soon as it gets hotter, we'll

want to reach for more water.

Each cell a microcosm of life.

The human body itself a universe.

Nothing can happen within the body

without water.

We are caught in a bind without

it. We become ill, dizzy, and the

body begins to shut down. Until,

either the person receives help,

or death and they collapse

in a cleft, no longer able

to move or groove to the

beat of life.
