The Elf On The Shelf

Updated on November 24, 2015

Oh No Charlie ! What Have You Done?

Source

Charlie The Elf

The elf on the shelf is so much fun for little girls or boys.

My grandson loves his Elf on the shelf. He has given his Elf the name Charlie. This will be his third year and now he has a little sister that will join in the fun as well.

He knows the Elf is watching and reporting to Santa each night while he is sleeping!

What will Charlie tell Santa?

Has he been naughty or nice?

Although Charlie is always finding things to get into and getting into much mischief he is truly loved.
What will Charlie do next?

He Knows If youv'e Been Naughty Or Nice

The idea of The Elf On A Shelf, is to read the story to your child. The child then puts the Elf on the shelf or some other place before he goes to bed. While the child is sleeping, the Elf reports back to Santa Claus, to let him know if the child has been naughty or nice. In the morning when the child wakes up he will find the Elf in another location somewhere throughout the house. Sometime Charlie hides when he returns from his visit to Santa Claus. It then becomes a fun game of hide and go seek until Charlie is found.

The Hungry Elf Eats Cereal

One morning my grandson found his Elf sitting on the table. It seems the Elf was hungry when he returned from the North pole after having reported to Santa Claus. The Elf had opened the box of cereal and helped himself. Clearly this is what happened as the cereal box was sitting on the table and there were bits of cereal that had been spilled out .And of course Charlie was sitting right next to the box of cereal. It seems Elf on the shelf (Charlie) and my grandson like the same brand of cereal.

Another morning Elf was found under the Christmas tree, checking out the gifts that were underneath. Charlie was satisfied and reported to Santa Claus that Nathan hadn't peeked.

Charlie Has Returned To The NorthPole

Nathan had many fun adventures this Christmas with Charlie. Charlie kept Nathan on his best behavior, and was able to give good reports to Santa Claus. Because of this he was able to be on Santa's nice list. When Nathan woke up on Christmas morning he found some wonderful toys that Santa had placed under the tree for him. His stocking was filled to the brim with candy and many other goodies..Nathan was so relieved to find them and not a single lump of coal.

Charlie's work is done here for now and has returned to work beside the other elves in order to bring wonderful things to all the good boys and girls next Christmas.

He will be greatly missed but Nathan knows he will see him again just after Thanksgiving and is patiently waiting and looking forward to many more adventures.

Thank You Charlie

When I read your Hub I had to laugh out loud- I had actually seen "Elf on a Shelf" in several stores but I've never actually known what it was the elf did! Very mysterious. What fun for a small child!
