The Embrace

Updated on February 3, 2012

Poetry by mere definition means to describe an event, mood or feeling(s) in a unique and/or entertaining manner. Self expression is in all of us & the way we decide to communicate with one another is key to being understood or misunderstood, liked or disliked. "I submitted my first poem to the Poetry.com web site in 2005. Even though I did not win the first place grand prize, I was asked to have my poem published in the 2007 edition of The International Who's Who in Poetry. That submission is as follows:

The Embrace

So Weary, Long Day Struggling With Ideas, Methods of How...

I Enter The Cozy Comfort Called Home,

Wonderment Of What Now...

Greeted By The Familiar Bouquet Of My Other,

Faintly Traveling Towards My Keen Senses...

A Pleasant Calming Voice Persuading, Come In,

Let Me Knead Away Your Tenseness...

Loving Arms Encircle My Being,

I Close My Eyes Weariness Begins To Mend...

Bodies Intertwine Not Knowing Where We Begin Or End...

Palpitations Of The Heart That Beat As One...

We Interlock, The Togetherness Begun...

Flavor, Affecting Kind Murmurs Of Passion...

The Depths Which Is Known Everlastin'...
