The Freddy Turtle Stomp By Pat Gillem

Updated on May 29, 2013

One day Freddy The Turtle said to Springy The Frog,

"Its getting boring in this old swampy bog."

"We need to have a party in this old swamp,"

"and teach everybody, the Freddy Turtle Stomp!"

Now Freddy The Turtle was known far and wide,

for his dancing ability, in which he took great pride.

He would stomp to the guitar, he would stomp to drum,

when you see that turtle dancing, you know he's having fun.

So Freddy and Springy, started forming up a plan,

what they needed Saturday night, was a swamp rocking band!

They got it all together, and on that Saturday night,

the swamp was lit up and decorated, what a beautiful sight!

Everyone from miles around, could see that awesome glow,

it wouldn't have been much prettier, even if it snowed.

Freddy started dancing the stomp, and everyone joined right in,

"this is called The Freddy Turtle Stomp," Freddy said with a grin.

"Stomp your feet in, then stomp them back out,

then stomp in a circle, and stomp them all about!"

There were snakes, toads, frogs, turtles, and even salamanders,

the Rowdy Raccoon's sent out for a bucket of Col. Sanders.

The party got loud, and Badger called the law,

they all needed that party, and were having fun that's all!

The skunk patrol rolled in, and stunk up the place,

and everyone ran out, with a rag over their face.

The police chief skunk said," Boy you better pack it in,

Freddy smiled to himself," next Saturday night stompin again!"

      Hello Movie Master

I don't know where this came from. I was thinking about turtles and this popped into my noggin. I love turtles, and even at my older age I still catch them so I can look at them.
