The Gift You Give

Updated on March 5, 2010

Grandmother and Grandfather

A Love So Warm

Since you were born you always held,

A love so warm, that all could tell.

When you give love, it's clearly shown.

Grandmother and Grandfather watch from their home,

I know that they would both agree.

You offer your love openly.

Dear Sage, You as well must hold a love so warm. I read your poem "My Dearest Melanie" and it reveals a lifestyle I've been trying to escape from for years. It's not such a battle anymore for me, but continues to be a project of rebuilding who I mean to be. My meaning may not be so clear, but you should know that I now use my time pursuing things worthwhile, because of my precious daughters.

It's good to smile in the morning! Thanks for helping with that. I love you, Daddy.

How beautiful! Short, sweet and touches the heart. Great little poem.
