The Jolly Spirit at Pinky's Bar and Grill (Investigation)

Updated on May 1, 2011

by Christine B. 2008

On Monday, December 1st Celebrities Psychic, Nancy Bradley invited my friend Rob Hays and I to join her and the Gold Rush Ghosts Paranormal Investigation team investigators to Pinky’s Bar and Gill in Nicolas, California. Nancy has been on my radio program a couple of times now, (most recently was on December 6th); and has been one of my most interesting guests. She and her husband, Robert Reppert, President of Gold Rush Ghosts Paranormal Investigations, taped the evening’s events at Pinky’s to be shown on Nancy’s Cable Channel 17 program, “Investigating the Unknown with Gold Rush Ghosts.” This show will air on February 26th at 8:00 PM. Because of rush hour traffic and the horrible fog that developed, Rob and I didn’t get to Pinky’s until almost 7 pm so we missed most of the taping. However, after we arrived Nancy asked that we join her group “séance” session and interesting things began happening!

Pinky’s is closed on Monday and Tuesday evenings, so we had the place to ourselves—just the investigation team, the owners along with a friend of theirs, and of course, the spirits! Nancy attempted some EVP recordings and in the process asked that those in the group contact the spirits who reside in the building. I immediately “saw” a large, heavy-set man dressed in bib overalls and a plaid shirt with a full beard. He was giggling at our attempt to contact him. Nancy confirmed his presence. Rob has the ability to see auras around people and to also detect spirit energy patterns. Rob told us that he saw a spirit energy pattern standing exactly where I told everyone the spirit was standing—to the right of me and directly behind the person sitting next to me, Catherine Noble. Nancy asked the spirit to give us his name and I picked up “Randy,” but the others picked up different names for the gentleman. “Randy” began dancing around the room and moved to the area behind Nancy, which was closer to the bar. Rob picked up him saying, “Is the bar open?” Nancy then asked Randy to give us a sign that he was there and asked that he drop something. I immediately sensed Randy attempting to move a bottle that had a large white “X” on it, which was positioned behind the bar on a top shelf. Neither the bottle, nor anything else fell. The temperature in the room did drop considerably from what it was when Rob and I arrived, however. Nancy asked if any of Randy’s friends were with him and I immediately “saw” a tall, thin gentleman behind the bar. Nancy sensed the man, as well; and she described him almost exactly as I envisioned him. After several more minutes of asking our visitors to make something drop without success, Nancy ended the session.

Nancy took Rob and I up to the second floor where she showed us where she believed there is a spirit portal and then up to the third floor where there was another spirit “hanging out.” Rob told us he could see the energy pattern from this spirit and Nancy and I could sense a closeness in the air, which is indicative of a spirit presence. Both Nancy and I had difficulty breathing in this third floor room. (I have noticed that many psychics have asthma aliments, which I think is peculiar.)

We came back down to the first floor and I took a few photos in the dining area, because I sensed there were spirits there. I did catch several orbs in the potograph. A few seconds after I took these photographs I saw a spirit run by the back window on the deck. I asked the bar owners if anyone else had ever mentioned seeing spirits on the back deck and was told that it happens all the time. The owner himself has seen unknown entities outside the window and has investigated on many occasions, to no avail. No one has ever found anyone or anything unusual outside the building during these searches.

We left the building at about 8:00 pm. The owner’s wife came out to my car to let me know that the spirit I described while in the séance circle with Nancy and the Gold Rush Ghosts Investigators was the brother of the friend they had brought into the bar soon after I arrived. She also told me that he even used to dance in the exact way I described. The strange thing is that when I walked up to the bar right after taking the photos in the dining room, I was going to ask their friend if he was related to the spirit I sensed in the bar, but the owner interrupted me by telling me about his experiences of chasing spirits on his back deck.

It was an interesting evening and I’m grateful to Nancy and Robert for inviting us to join them on their investigation. If you’re looking or a stimulating experience, stop by Pinky’s in Nicolas, (6985Garden Highway), and discover for yourself what you might find there.

(Hub Pages would not permit me to add the close ups of the orbs in these photographs because they are pixelated.)

Outside Pinky's. The circles in this photograph are NOT spirit orbs. They are the results of my camera's flash reflecting off the fog. It was VERY foggy that night, which is significant. Spirit activity is hightened by moisture in the air. Yes,
