Where dose Love Reside?
Love posed an image in my mind, begged me closer for a look
I saw a centered ivory throne and I the kingdom took
I kneeled beneath the jeweled crown, proclaimed myself the king
Kingdom mine, all love come serve, the hand that wears the ring
Her heart retreated, left a cry, which echoed through the halls
A love so centered does not rule, my heart because it calls
Remove the center, better still, my heart upon your throne
Raise my heart if love will rule, my need above your own
Love posed an image in my mind, begged me closer for a look
I gave her heart the ivory throne, gave her the crown I took
She laid the crown upon my head and quietly knelt beside
Love creates a vacancy where others can reside.
