In the coldest winter

What did my eyes see

A ladybug in the shower

Staring at me

She just sat there

Red with black dots

None to spare

I knew lady luck

Had visited with care

Through my sadness

I began to smile

I knew her good fortune

I soon would follow

She became my friend

Little pretty girl

My life changed from then on

She was my gorgeous

Exotic pearl

      Howdy Caroline (carolinemd21) -

It was fun to read about so lucky a bug, the bringer of such good fortune. Thanks for reminding us to keep our eyes and our minds both wide open.

Awesome poem. Very simple yet sound. Lady bugs are usually very beneficially to a garden and look pretty cool. Voted up

Voted up and beautiful. I love ladybugs. Just the other day it was raining and cold and there in my room upon a plant the ladybug sat. Loved this.

Such a wonderful pick me up for a sad moment. I hold these little creatures in special places of my heart as well and consider them a personal piece of luck when they appear.

Be sure to send her home again when your days get warmer... she has many others to visit in the course of one lifetime and within the needs of good fortune... lovely sentiment Caroline and one I'm sure would be shared by even striped pearls... thank you for sharing her..

How beautiful Caroline. You have a talent for prose and a gift for cadence in the text. It is really very good, and well done! I love lady bugs, they have my collector's item since childhood.
