The Journey Ahead...A NiaG Poem

Updated on January 22, 2012

Blurred reflections play in my mind

Oh how I wish I could manipulate time

Can’t turn back now, do I have regrets

'To err is human' so the answer is yes

The past makes the path for me to walk along

Decisions guide me down it whether right or wrong

The angst of the forward leaves me at an unrest

Not knowing the future puts my patience at a test

But life goes on one day at a time

The story will unfold line after line

Many unknowns lie vastly ahead

Anxiety looms about, at times I’m afraid

I’ll never know the end until it’s done

Life’s all a mystery but isn’t that the fun

If you'd like to hear my interpretation of how the poem sounds instead of giving it your own voice, play the above video. There is no real video, only audio.

I like this and so very true "The past make a path for me to walk along". As much as we sometimes feel we would like to erase our pasts, it is what makes us, us!! Lovely words, thank you for sharing NiaG, my votes to you.
