How can something conceived be so small,

Yet instantly be the greatest invention of all?

Rousing confusion and delirium

In that second of knowing what soon will become,

A mirror of you and significant one.

This something you've dreamt is now actually true,

Praying to thank Him and help me get through!

There's no going back, life has forever been changed,

Sharing this news is amazing yet strange.

A few hours later when this starts to sink in,

For once something better is not about "thin."

This life I have doubling, is it she or a he?

I know sooner or later you'll want to break free,

Worried and scared for the pain and degree!

Eight more months, only then I will see,

How important you are, this new life inside me!

Very well written. I loved the way you have captured true emotions.

I am a father, can now feel too,

      what a mother goes through.

Thank you BongSantos :) I agree with you on getting closer to God's might! The way I see it, I didn't make the baby, God was simply USING ME to create a new life, a new purpose for his plan! Amazing feeling :D

Hermana..this is beautiful!! Touched me to my soul and brought me to tears just thinking how thankful I am to God that you finally got to experience the wonderful feelings of pregnancy and childbirth and now motherhood. The shock and amazement, the apprehension and joy, the fear and excitement of it all!! It is a true blessing and gift from God for women despite the pain of it all. Nothing teaches us more of the act of self sacrifice than motherhood and it starts with pregnancy! How much of ourselves we give up whether by choice or not for that little tiny life growing inside of us. The gift of life is truly miraculous!! It is truly an honor to be a woman, the vessel God used to bring life into the world!!

      Love you sister!

Beautiful! You had me chuckling at the line, 'for once something better is not about thin'! I've only had one child and he is now 20, but I loved, absolutely loved being pregnant! Knowing a human life was growing inside me was beyond amazing, it was almost incomprehensible! And it's something only a woman can achieve. Pretty amazing, huh?
