The Light Beam

Updated on October 6, 2012

Within this darkness

There’s a light beam

It tries to emerge

Freedom is its dream

Subjugation by power

Fails to subdue its soul

Its boundaries vibrate

Redemption is its goal

Incident on reflections

Searching for a crevice

Its path shall not bend

Ambition it shall cherish

Black may absorb it

Its existence does not perish

Suffocating its evil captor

Beaming victory it shall cherish

Luminance so powerful

All darkness will fall

This one divine beam

Shall awaken us all

This is soooo beautiful, Rahul! The light beam. The light source. It is all that is...LIGHT from Above... and everything else will bow to it and rejoice after. Sharing the light, so its beams shall widely spread!

You are one of the most gifted poets I've had the pleasure to read. You my poetic friend are an inspiration to this poet. Brilliant and beautiful piece this is, the light entered my heart and soul. Light and darkness are competitors for the truth, the angels whisper in accord as your shining shooting star caresses the Universe. Bravo my friend and I send you blessings this night.

      MMmmmm...

Loved the light and the dark - the ups and the downs, the straights and the windings here, my friend!

You are deep, dark, and intricate - far more so than my lack of poetic knowledge can fathom..

all i know is that i loved it and the accompanying, perfectly coordinated pictures!

      Sharing everywhere!

      Black may absorb it

This poem guides me to think of so many oppressed people of the world, fighting and struggling to be free and finally know what human rights are...to emerge from the darkness of abuse and control and into the light of liberty. Simply awesome, rahul......Up+++
