The Lonely Guitar
A Note From The Instrument.....
Here I sit in this corner,
Awaiting for a pick or a strum;
My strings are a little bit looser,
And my neck is a little bit lank.
If only I could resonate for just a while.
There is a need for harmony in the
Guitarist's life.
She has become lonely
While fighting rejection.
But if only I could brighten
Her with some melodic restoration,
Then the harmonization
From my frets to the bridge,
My fingerboard again has
A chance
To live.
The strums and the beat,
And finger picking so sweet.
From major chords to minor,
The seventh chords would
Sound much finer.
I can only hope this
Musician will pick me up
To play much more often,
Maybe every day.
This lonely guitar has not
A chance to please
Every ear with inspiration
To bring the heart a tune
Is all that is needed
To make the blues go away,.

Interesting, a guitar's story, very unique. Enjoyed. Thank you.
Outstanding rendition at the point of view of the instrument.
Lovely and compelling.
I'm challenged. I am no longer physically able to play my acoustic guitar (my fave by far). However, I did get an electric one so as not to have to reach around the body (hurt my shoulder) but just straight down. Yet, even that one has been gathering dust. Thanks for reminding me. :)
Very powerful poem for me, as I can no longer play my guitars. Thank you
