The Love That Sadly Got Away - Sad Poetry
It could have been the love I am waiting for
The unique feel of the fresh warm wind in winter
Or the unusual cold breeze in the summer's day
But indeed it was just a dream
A dream I always held in my heart
Like the teddy I like to hold on to
Your words are music in my silent nights
They are my guiding light when I am sad
I could have died long before
But you gave me smile and hope
Then suddenly you said goodbye
Things will be better for us, you said
Then I wonder how could it be better
When I was sad and crying
Yes, I understand what you said
But at times it is hard to fathom the words
The heart can't understand what the mind wants to do
How could you just gave up a love
And never fight for the love that was
Maybe you're right, it is the best for us
But who knows what could have happened
We all know what true love can bring
Its only the lovers can feel
The pain a failed love can bring
Specially for a true love
The love that sadly got away.
