The Many Roads of Life
The Many Roads of Life
Life has its up and down
Or it turns you around
You don’t know what’s beyond
Always running on an errand
This day you maybe climbing uphill
That is against your free will
The next day you’re going downward
You want to stop but it’s hard
You may be stuck in traffic
Yet you think you’re slick
Another day the road is smooth
You can stop by an inn, and have broth
The road maybe bumpy
And you maybe jumpy
This circuitous road is dusty
Hanging on a cliff makes you edgy
But always remember my friend
The road is never a fiend
It teaches lessons for us to bear
Doesn’t matter if you shed a tear
All those lessons are taught
For us to face life not for fraught
But to take the trial and be tested
And go beyond what’s expected...
