The Meat Grinder (Poetry)
Corporate brainwashing
Painting a picture perfect life
Flashing subliminal messages
To dangle that carrot
So the bunnies keeps chasing
Meanwhile
The cages are locked tight
The hamster wheels are well oiled
And the machine keeps running
With perfect efficiency
No matter what your beliefs
There's a band wagon for you to jump on
But all the wagons are part of the same parade
Cause the idealism isn't what's important
It's all a way to distract you
Keep you focused on misguided intentions
While they plunder you of the true treasures
That life is supposed to bring
Who cares if your family's disfunctional
Just keep watching the Kardashians
Their life is wonderful
Live vicariously through them
Pay no attention to your daughter
Who's in her room filming her first XXX tape
Don't worry about your son who just bought a gun
Waiting to pop a cap and up his street cred.
Corporate society has a place for all of you
There's plenty of room in the meat grinder
Just hop on in bunnies
But please leave your feet behind
They'll make a nice lucky charm
On Mr. Big Buck's key chain.
