The Melodic Moment

Updated on January 6, 2012

At this moment

My heart open

And doves fly

As peace and fulfillment

Bursts through the seams of my flesh,

Out of room to fit.

You have been the final peace

The missing link to my spirit.

Together we fit into a dream I never had

And I know.

Fear ceases and I give myself

As we move forward,

Doubt removed,

I dedicate myself

To this union.

Finally accepting the inevitability of you and I.

The melody of us is rhythmic and unpredictable.

I am cast in to a catatonic state

As your euphemistic voice

Cast a spell on you being.

Your smile is the perfect chorus

To my solo

As I pour notes

In your patient ear.

You are the song I want to join in

As I gently try to move beyond novice.

You are both my teacher

And my classmate

As we together learn

And share this world of love.

Thanks Vellur. I felt shy about publishing my poetry because it feel so private but I am glad I did. If it touches one person, it is a success. So your post makes me feel successful :)
