The Only Thing That is Damaged
Harsh wind banging on my window leaving a spill of light breeze creep in between the opening and I shiver
The trees I hear whistling harshly leaving bird hid in their nest
Clouds in high speed spread rapidly hiding the moon
Street fulfill with traffic, train roar the track
Rumbling the ground, vibrating through my wall and ceiling
So lousy as this broken heart sounds
Tears walks my eyes, I thought of our promise
The promise to love each other until the sky falls
And the earth slits open
But then I learned today, promise that we made
Was never true; Oh how my heart quiver, body shaken by unfaithful truth
Although the promise we made is broken
And the sky is still there and the earth is still whole
But the love is gone
And the only thing that is damaged
Is my heart
