The measure of sadness [Poem]

Updated on August 20, 2014

When you are sad

you don't have to make a sadness-ranking.

It doesn't exist a Sadness-meter,

so it doesn't make sense

if you say I feel better/worse than someone else.

Sadness makes us obtuse and selfish.

It's a big glass case where we close ourselves in

and where we don't want to listen other people's sadness.

Would you like the existence of a sadness-meter?

That was brief, but it's also true! When we are sad we don't want to know about other people's problems, just wallow in our own.
