The Sapphire Sea
Light winds blowing on my face, making my hair wave rhythmically. I am with my dad, happy and contented on a boat. The placid sea makes me feel more tranquil inside. The blue water is shining so brightly in the sun. The boat is sailing on the docile sapphire sea so calmly, so patiently. I see the shore. White sand, looks like a beach pristine in its own ways. There is a broad smile on my dad’s face. I don’t know the reason. I just smiled back.
We didn’t talk to each other. We both are sitting idle, looking at the sea and gazing its beauty. There is a silence which is creeping between us but it is loud enough to make me feel that everything is alright. My father’s smile assures me that we will get through everything no matter what happens. This is mesmerizing. I don’t need words. It works without that also. I don’t know where we are heading to but I am somehow feeling fulfilled, perfect and complete in every way.
It was a dream I had but I can never forget the sea, its shine, the sun, the sand and my dad.
