The Stones Won't Cry Out for Me
They came to make Him a King
Shouts of glory in the highest did ring,
Crescendos of praises and exaltations
The multitude began to rejoice, and
To praise God with a loud voice,
For all the mighty works they had seen,
Saying, blessed and holy is the King,
Who comes in the name of the Lord
Singing and making melody on one accord,
Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest!
Jesus was asked to rebuke the praises of the crowd
His opposition said, they were singing too loud,
He immediately replied to them saying,
“If these should hold their peace”
The stones would cry out!
I’ve made my decision to release what is in me
I am going to lift Him up because He is worthy,
How about you?
The stones won’t cry out for me,
I will sing glory and honor, Hallelujah!
Going to get my praise on in liberty
The rocks can’t cry out for me
I am going to live free,
Singing glory and honor, Hallelujah!
I will lift my voice up in praise
My hands I will also raise,
If I don’t praise Him immediately the stones will cry out,
Those stones won’t cry out for me
My spirit is singing glory and honor, Hallelujah!
I Worship Him, I exalt His majesty
He is King of Kings, and Lord of Lords He will always be,
Lift your voice in sweet refrain
Tell the world of the power in Jesus’ Name!
Declare that Jesus is your eternal Lord
You sing, I will sing, let us sing on one accord,
Join in with the Heavenly choir,
Proceed forth declare that He is the Great I AM
My soul is singing glory and honor, Hallelujah!
Prince of peace, today!
Jesus Christ is Worthy of all praise,
I hope after you’ve read this poem
You will sing glory and honor, Hallelujah!
Don’t let the rocks cry out for you
Sing glory and honor, Hallelujah!
