The Teenage Runaway's Life
Is there anybody out there?
Does anybody care?
Does it matter that I'm freezing,
with no coat to wear?
As I stand on the corner,
Watching people go by,
Hustling and bustling,
Do they even see me cry?
Here on the streets,
It's just this way,
No love and no caring,
Just dismal and gray.
I'm ever so hungry,
When did I last eat?
Oh, to go to a fridge,
For potatoes and meat.
My stomach is rumbling,
And aching with pain.
Now here come the clouds,
It's beginning to rain.
Another day,
Goes passing by,
Is there anybody out there?
Do you see when I cry?
