Marj Is really a bookworm. He has been reading books, novels, comics for as long as he can remember and he wants to share all that he knows.

Novellas and their way ...

Everyone is related to the Book but only a few are those who read them and actually know the fact that books are further divided into many types like Novels, Novellas, Story books, Facts, Magazines and I could go all day like this, but this is not a good habit, watching a screen is badly affecting our lifestyle and I am not going to give a speech because everyone is aware of this.

Anyhow, Books are farther divided into various genre like comedy, horror, action much like a movie. Books broaden the mind of the reader. Books are like a bridge between the reader and the writer.

Novellas are the short form of novels. They contain from 17,000 words to 35,000 words. They give short stories along with a great moral lesson.

Norma saw a package lying at the front door of her apartment. He picked it up and it had a note attached to its side which said that Mr. Steward will call up on you at the night. Norma took the package and went inside. She opened it and it had a button unit with a glass case over it. Finally, at night, Mr. Steward came. He looked like a sales man and went inside. Finally, Norma's husband, Arthur came and asked him what it was about. Mr. Steward took out and envelope which had a key to open the glass case. Mr. Steward said that if you press the button somewhere, someone in this whole world will die and you will never know about them. Arthur considered it Immoral and told him to leave. Mr. Steward placed his card on the side table saying that if your change your mind, feel free to call me.

Norma became very curious about it and started to ask Arthur about it but Arthur denied completely to talk about it. Then, one day, Arthur went to work early then expected. Norma sat quietly in the kitchen, staring at the card and instinctively, she called Mr. Steward. She asked him about more details and judging her greedy nature Mr. Steward sugar coated the whole thing as much as he could. Norma just pulled out the button and pressed it , saying that there is no need to make such a fuss about it. After sometime, she received a call from a Hospital that informed her about the death of someone close to her. She called Mr. Steward to complain but he simply diverted the whole reason on herself.

Jess' Father reminded him about Jess' childhood. He said that Jess lost his toy in the furrow of the farm and he cried until his father made him another one.

Jess thought that he had seen everything on the mountain, he couldn't understand what his father wanted to show him. His father told him that he should see for himself. Jess' father took the steep path which was rather arduous climbing to show his son that he was still healthy and mobile. He also wanted to prove his doctors wrong. Jess remembered that he and his father used to come to the top of the mountain to hunt squirrels for a meal.

When they reached the top, Jess was bewildered by seeing that his father had cleared about 3rd of an acre alone, fenced it and grew a little farm there. Jess' Father thought that the fertility of his garden was matchless as it was a new ground. Then, they came down from a different path and Jess could understand that his father wanted to return to the place of his acquaintance and love. Jess was amazed at the hard work of an old man.

Lang-ton Hughes

Genre :

Reality-Moral

Plot :

A woman came out of a parlor, late at night. She was going to her home and on the way, she stopped on a stop sign. A boy ran towards the woman from behind her and tried to steal her purse. The strap of the purse could not bear the force of the jerk and broke. The boy slipped on the pavement and fell down and his legs flew up. The woman just kicked him on the back and pulled him from his collar, gave him a few jerks till his teeth clattered and then stopped. She yelled at the boy and asked him the reason for this. He told her that he wanted to buy suede shoes for himself as summer was almost over and winter was coming.

The woman looked at the boy from top to bottom and judged by his body that he was hungry for days. He also had dirt on his face which showed that he was living in very harsh conditions. She told the boy to follow her to her home. So, the boy did and was invited inside. The woman went inside the kitchen to make something for the boy. While she was doing that, she told the boy to clean her face as it looked very dirty. She told him to comb his hair also.

The boy looked satisfied after gulping down such a meal. The woman gave him some money to buy the shoes for himself. She also told him the difference between a good and bad man, difference between the right and wrong. The boy had a good impact of this and promised never to go down such a way ever again. After the boy left the house, he said thanks to the woman but in reality, he wanted to say a lot of things.

Genre :

Science fiction- drama

Plot :

A little girl fell ill suddenly. The parents called the Doctor and told him to come down as soon as possible. The Doctor knocked and was invited inside by the mother. They had her in the kitchen because it was warm and moist there. Doctor asked the parents about the symptoms but they knew nothing which was expected. The doctor had to tell them what was going on. He asked if the parents had checked her throat but they said that the girl wouldn't let them. She doctor put on his most professional smile and told the girl to open wide for him, but the girl kept on staring at the doctor's face and didn't bulge. The doctor persisted and the girl's parents started to do that too. The girl remained just as resolute and firm.

The mother told her that if she doesn't open her mouth, she will never get better. The girl remained like that. The Doctor warned the girl that if she doesn't open her mouth then he will force her to, still nothing doing. The doctor took a spatula and tried to force open her mouth and the mouth of the girl started bleeding in the process but they had come this far, they couldn't stop now. So close but no cigar. The doctor had to see her throat and he had enough of this circus. Now, no matter how hard the girl cried, the doctor forced her mouth open with a steel spoon and didn't stop. At last, there was the throat covered with membrane, showing signs of Diphtheria. The girl was in the last stage of this disease and was soon going to die, if not operated soon enough. The parents were very grateful to the doctor for this.
