The Value of Dreams

I have dreams for my life of who I want to be

The value of my dreams are measured in love, kindness, expression, and creativity

But this is not real value you say

Love doesn't buy food

Kindness doesn't pay the rent

Expression doesn't clothe you and

Creativity doesn't pay for life's necessities

I say

Love nurtures our children's souls

Kindness is lending a helping hand

Expression brings out our inner feelings and

Creativity brings the world new ideas

Where is the balance? What is real value?

How do you measure your value?

Should you choose a job based solely on how it pays?
