A Woman On The Mountaintop

This poem is a response to the challenge, so kindly extended

by Billybuck aka Bill Holland, a very prominent writer on Hubpages.

The link to the challenge is given on the right side of this hub. Since the

challenge was sweet and tempting, I jumped at it and tried to scribble

some words. Hope you will relish it a bit.

Her gaze penetrates nature's heart,

The white ice-sheet shining bright,

Like the innocence on her kind face,

She spreads kindness on the hilltop.

She smiles a little, charms the wilds,

Her bosom beats the soil's fragrance,

Silence says more than the voice,

The magic of hills hears her throbs.

The woman on the mountaintop,

Dazzles the earth and the heavens,

The breeze blows to touch her softness,

Leaves jostle to have her glimpse.

Moments want to merge with her,

Her laughter is a joy to all creatures,

The space wants to listen her tales,

Dreams celebrate her existence.

She sprinkles nectar of her soul,

To the thirsty earth and hungry sky,

The eternity savors her kind glance,

The woman on hilltop is almost love.

The world entangled in matters of life,

The woman has overtaken world itself,

She loves beings just for sake of love,

And world becomes the woman herself.

To feel the universe and seek pleasure,

A goal for all the mortals in the world,

The woman on the hilltop cares not,

She keeps on emptying her treasure !

Some day if scientists could be able to read one's mind, it would reveal truly the real wonders of our mind and maybe about the other fellow that is our heart. When I looked at the beautiful photo that was a challenge, I thought what would be in Bev's mind while perched on the mountaintop but to penetrate her mind was not easy. So I found an alternative and put my own thoughts that would have occurred to my mind in that situation. ChitrangdaSharan, such kind of challenges are real fun. My effort was toward learning something from the wonderful writer friends. Thanks for appreciating this stuff.

Bill's challenge was very sweet. Since the mountain lady perched on top seemed something familiar to me, it evoked sentiments related to nature. Since I belong to hills, I poured out my love for hills here. Ruby, I'm glad you like this poem. Thanks for appreciating it and presenting such beautiful comments.

Jo, as we love hills so do they and everything present there shows it. This can be felt when amid hills and the hilltop is something very different and magical. It evokes wonderful feelings, I myself being a hill guy know it better. I love your presence on this hub and thanks for your kind comments.

Harishprasad, I thought I'd already commented on your contribution to this challenge, but I guess I was thinking of Ann's challenge. Beautiful poem, the woman on the mountaintop is herself a force of nature. Well done.

When I read Bill's beautiful and the excellent hub, it was itself a pleasant experience, so beautifully written and a great expression of true love ! I was tempted to respond to such a sweet challenge but thought how ? Then after sometime, the inspiration came from Bill's hub itself. I just thought how a man could feel love for his adorable spouse and instantly came words. John, I try to learn from the wonderful fellow poets who I admire so much. Thanks for appreciating the poem and your beautiful comments.
