I've never heard of this kind of poetry. I love it and love the video, too. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Good memories!

Personally I like the verse from the "color of rain to.. Trickling bubble burst" In my mind I can see the color of the rain as well hear the bubble burst on the window pane.

Interesting Deb, it sure was short and brief. Though I could create mental pictures as I read it. It was wonderful for a light rain shower. I voted it up+, shared it and pinned it.

Shauna, senryu poetry is done by syllables- first line 5 syllables- second line 7 syllables- third line 5 syllables. You can do as many sets ( three lines ) as you want to. I used to do this kind of poetry a lot. I enjoy doing it. I'm so glad you like it and the video. Thank you so much...

Hello Kevin. That's how the words came to me, by watching the rain splashing on my window. Senryu poetry is done in syllables, see above. You can make it short or long, it's fun to do, give it a try. Thank you for sharing..

Dear Ruby, indulging in Japanese forms of poetry is such an enjoyable challenge. These are truly thought-provoking senryu. I could see and hear those raindrops falling against your window pane.

Raindrops indeed fell on my head this morning - our first rain of the season and the ideal opportunity to fertilise my garden with artificial manure.

      Voted up and awesome :)
