The exit sign

Updated on April 4, 2010

The exit sign

Pulling towards insaneā€¦

My heart beats faster and faster

Harder and harder

Deeper and deeper

Please just go cold I say

If I can't feel please just let it die

Let go of this place, surrender to fate

Do I have to leave so soon?

Do I have to let go so crudely?

Please pull me closer

To where I'm supposed to be

Question my intentions

Question my ethics

Question my morality,

My mind I've all you have hard and fast

Hold nothing back, and then show me the exit sign

So I can close my eyes and go to sleep

We are actually going places, going to the exact same place

Where our visions,

Our thoughts perhaps even our dreams rest in one place together

Resting in peace,

In the soft place understanding has made

Quiet and beautiful, soothing with grace

We were we are together in fate...

Just look for the exit sign

Wonderfuly written. I found myself racing to read your poem to find out where it was going. I then reread it. Nice work!
