The life within - a poem
Life is precious - Life in the womb too
This poem is about a personal dark time, something that occurred a long time ago, but the pain remains. Life is precious, hold on, love it, never say no.
Life is fragile, love it before it is gone. Live in the present and enjoy the people around you. Celebrate life when you still have it!!

Life within - to my unborn child
My child, my unborn child,
I remember the day when you were conceived,
I felt you, the very first moment in time,
When we were joined together in an eternal bind!
I carried you with love, speaking to you,
Singing songs of love that only you knew,
My life was made meaningful because of you,
Bubbling with joy, of a life so new!
Day after day, I was falling in love,
Passionately building my world around you,
Then came the call and you left me,
I was torn and felt empty!
It was as though my body was tattered,
And a part of me was mangled and battered,
Only my heart knew the pain,
Of what it was, not to feel you again!

I willed with all my heart to hold you within,
But my body was too weak to take the strain,
I fought with all the strength I had,
I, your mom wanted you real bad!
You have gone and left my body bare,
So was my heart and all we shared,
I grieved within me and dried my tears,
I could never face my fears!
I knew you were that baby girl,
That little angel with a pretty curl,
I called you a name, I never named you then,
You became alive once again, ‘Diane’
I felt you inside until it was your time to be born,
I carried you with tenderness and care,
I lived with you in my dreams until I was ready to let go,
Of you, forever, to the other shore!
