The Rain was Reddy Grey

Updated on September 22, 2014

The Rain Was Reddy Grey

The rain was reddy grey

I saw the woman lingering

as though she didn't know the way.

Wipers Sweeping Rain Away

The car was slowly idling

with wipers sweeping rain away,

the windows automatically

opened wide so he could say,

get in my friend talk to me,

it's been a very lonely day.

Lonelier Than He

She lingered morem she couldn't see.

The rain was reddy grey,

he saw her smile as to agree,

she always would obey

The rain Was Reddy Grey

Though he was not to know

she was lonlier than he,

she smiled once more,

the rain was reddy grey.

And Smiled

She climbed into his car

and smiled.

She always would obey..

What a mystery you have penned, the story hangs like a drop of rain suspended upon glass for all to watch it's descent, did she make it home o.k. or was he a psycho who had his way with her..questions abound...and an umbrella is now my thinking cap~~~MFB III

Hi Maxine - this is a sweet and rather sad poem, I think. The woman is so lonely and sad, and yet will always obey.

      Thanks for the moving read.

      Love and peace

      Tony
