The simple way in which I met my love
Meeting Anita
Love has more than a million definitions. Everybody has their own interpretation of love and life. There are several things guys look for that might translate to love and marriage in the long run. As a simple shy guy, I’m looking for a sweet wholesome girl, who I know my mom would approve. These characteristics are what I saw in my cute angel. It started out as a joke just because of the place where we met. I met Anita at Splash Water World during an annual kids’ festival hosted by Cuba Gooding Jr! I took my little cousin since he was on holiday break and he had performed well in his mid-summer exams. This was a much deserved fun event for him.
After we had reached the water park, my cousin vanished quickly, as he socialized with all his friends. A few hours later, after a thorough search, I found him having fun with them. To my surprise, I spotted Anita there, looking after her younger brother, who were energetic. This is the woman who I have adored for years, but I didn’t have the nerves to tell her. I have always been a little timid and antisocial, although I don’t consider myself an introvert. After years of not being able to say one word to her, out of the blue and unexpectedly, I open my mouth and formally introduced myself. Anita began to laugh, once she realized that I was babysitting my cousin and he had disappeared on me yet again. She started teasing me about it and we both burst into laughter. Now, I don’t feel awkward around her anymore.
Getting to Know Her More
As we were watching the kids play and have fun together, I started talking about general issues that were trending because it has always been something that interests me. I couldn’t believe she was also into social media, entertainment, and art. Much to my disbelief, the time went by so fast as we were having the time of our lives. Since it was time for us to leave, I didn’t want it to end. The fun I had talking to her, holding hands, laughing, and smiling during the entire time we spent together really made me feel we had something special. As we were exchanging phone numbers and Skype information, I noticed that she was eager to give me hers. Deep down, I knew she wanted me to ask her out, so I couldn’t wait to call her later to talk about us going out on our very first date. Today was simply amazing and I couldn’t wait to meet up with her again. While she called out to her little brother to go, I couldn’t take my eyes off her as I gather my nephew to leave as well. Even though we both enjoyed ourselves talking and sliding down the big water slides multiple times, neither one of us was ready to go. After being there for over four hours, we knew the children were exhausted and needed to get something to eat.
As we entered the parking lot, she gave me the warmest hug that I have ever received and whisper in my ear, “I didn’t give you my number just to fill your phonebook, call me.” I was overwhelmed with excitement knowing the girl I have secretly loved for a long time was interested in me. My nephew was extremely talkative as we drove home, but I was in deep thoughts about Anita, so I didn’t hear anything he was saying. He finally caught my attention, when he called my name in an annoying voice because I wasn’t responding to him. I wasn’t too thrilled that he interrupted my thoughts, however, I had to appease him by listening and talking about the good time he had at the water park.
As soon as I reached home, Anita and I started chatting on Skype. We planned a dinner date for Saturday night. Things kept on getting better and better as we shared more information about each other after our first romantic date. During our Skype conversation, she started asking me what I had on, and if she could see some pictures of my house. Rather than sending pictures, I invited her to come see for herself…
