The welcome warmth of a hearty salutation:an inspirational poem
The blessing of a kind hello
And a welcome warmth now spreads
To dry the flowing tears of woe
Satisfy hunger pangs of upset
A gift that is a welcome cure
For wrecked self esteem, hurt feelings
A delightful guest to whom we open the door
Welcoming his kind words and healing
The importance of a warm greeting in the first 90 seconds
A benediction to calm anxious minds
Purges restless fear and loathing
Relieves one of the aches of rough times
Redress for lost souls, soothing
A warm salutation puts all at ease
And assures of one's kind attention
A greeting that will only please
Assured of warm reception
A vivacious hello spreads,diffuses
Curbing unwanted viruses of strife
Anger, an ailment "hello"confuses
Brings reticent relationships to life
A blessing of a gregarious greeting
Is a chance to give, pay forward
A benediction so very soothing
It helps a friend go onward.

A kind word, a handshake, a reaching out acknowledges to someone that DO matter as you have so skillfully pointed out.
Sending Angels to you this evening, :) ps
It is amazing how the simplest of actions can mean so much. When you greet someone, you acknowledge their existence, show that you care, and maybe ease some of their troubles.
I like each of these. Thanks.
Hello Michelle! Very beautiful peom. :-) So cute picture with the squirrel.
And Hello to you too midget! lol! love this, what a great little poem, and the dog photo made me smile too!
...that was one warm poetic welcome - it made me feel all cozy and nice inside and of course it was so beautifully written by an 'angel' herself.
sending you good wishes and positive energy from lake erie time ontario canada 8:35am
When greeted with genuine smile and a salutation. It affects the spirits of any human.
Beautiful poem, midget
Really true! And I love it when I get and give warm greetings!
Hi Michelle,
There is nothing like a hello and a warm smile to make someone's day.
Your beautiful hub certainly made my day.
Voted up and away and sharing
Take care :)
Hello, thank you for such an inspirational poem. Jamie
My 3 year old daughter has started greeting me with open arms as she runs up to me, I can't put into words how this makes me feel. Unfortunately I don't have that effect on everyone I meet, but a warm welcome makes all the difference, putting you at ease and making you feel accepted by the other person. A great hub Michelle, with an important message:-))
Beautifulk michelle! such a tiny gesture in sight, but yes, it holds so much importance doesn't it?? I completely agree with you :) a superb ending, voted up and shared :)
Thanks to Eiddwen for sharing and leading me to this delightful poem! A loving greeting goes a long way. You couldn't have chosen a better photo to convey unconditional love :)
Oh this is so so beautiful midget .I found it as I was hub hopping which I don't do very often;maybe I should !!!
Wonderful and I share and vote up!!!
Eddy.
Thank you for this. What a beautiful job! You delivered your message of inspiration in words, pictures and layout.
Just stopped by to say HELLO, and to say how much I enjoyed your poem. Loved the choice of photos, too.
Such an important message in a meaningful poem I loved it Michelle...my dog is ecstatic each time he sees me...if only we could feel this kind of love from another human being:)Voted UUAB & shared...
Michelle - HELLO!!!!!!!!!
Just thought I'd drop in and say hello to the hello hub of hello hubs!!
Great Job! One feels somewhat welcome!
I have to agree with Maria and business, there is nothing so unselfish as a dog's greeting. You picked the perfect photo to start off your poem...the warmth of a salutation, confusing anger with hello...refreshing and wise Michelle.
Voted up, useful, awesome, and interesting.
Michelle, beautiful poems, I loved the image of the dog also, I'm reminded of how I felt after we lost our dog Megan. The worst part was coming home from work and there would be no welcome waiting at door. You're always inspirational.
Michelle,
The picture you started off is perfection! And dogs are my teachers of a hearty salutation...such a warm, endearing welcome home from these fur angels.
I love this message. A greeting is free and the right thing to do...sometimes it makes all the difference to someone.
Voted UP and UABI. Hugs, Maria
I think the Irish are the best at salutations...."The top of the morning to you, and the rest of the day to meself!" LOL
You are so right; it takes so little effort to give a warm welcome to someone. Great inspiration!
Nice one, M. I really like the line "Redress for lost souls, soothing." I'm sure we all know someone that is hard to reach. Doesn't mean we shouldn't try though:-)
Beautiful Michelle and so true that warm hello makes a world of difference. Have of course voted up and shared all over as always!!
Hi midget38 .
Saying hello is so easy and to some people it means so much.
Lovely poem.
