The Last Of The Snow Or Is It?

Updated on March 7, 2013

Another Surprise From The Sky

It smells like snow

I know that line only to well

It is snowing now when I thought old man winter had finally left

He shows his face with the wind in his breath

The ground covered once more with a coat of pure white paint

There had to be a special buy one gallon get two free

Because every day now has been snow

That is three days in a row

Well I said it before and I will say it again

Bring on Spring and let Winter be done

All the children had their fun

Now let the snow melt and I want to see green grass again

Flowers that grow tall and trees and leaves that are pure green

Put away the shovels and the ice pics

Bring out the broom and the garden rakes

I can't wait for the sun to shine on the early morning dew

But for now I will leave my winter hat and gloves

Tucked in my snowsuit hanging on the hook above

It sounds like you are tired of the snow!

We have just had 1 1/2 days of snow here in Boston, and I think it finally stopped. I have enjoyed the snow this year, but after the last storm a few weeks ago, I was ready for Spring.

I was wrong- it is still snowing! Goodness!
