There is Still Hope....
There is still hope in the huge universe . There is still hope in our tiny blue marble that we inhabit, called earth. In A time of death in Syria, wars in Afganistan. oppression that comes in many forms, there is still hope.
Hope , the word brings to mind a concept of faith . Hope and faith go hand in hand . While watching the news i was actually made to cry, by the story of a young woman runner who actually stopped after watching her rival fall, in a sprint for the end of the race, she then went and lifted her up. She actually did not just lift her up , she walked her rival across the finish line and made sure that her rival finished first.
This selfless act of one person who understands what life is really all about should give hope to all people who think that the world has gone to hell. When just one person can give up what they worked and trained for many years as a small child, a quest that that only few, who would understand this sacrifice that this young woman gave for the sake of Hope.
This young woman did not give out hope , no she gave something more than that . This young woman gave out Faith, Faith that the young people of our world do understand that the world can be changed. Faith that some young people will understand that this blue marble we live on will be in the hands of these future leaders, that they will be in charge of the decisions that will change our world. This young woman showed what the word Sacrifice really means.
Yes, she finished in second place. But this young woman made her parents so proud, she even made me so proud . She gave me hope that the world will survive the dark times, she gave me Faith that until the many young women like her take over for all of us, who will be depending on them to lead us into the next millenium.
